Missions Statement
Our mission is to provide and loving and caring fellowship for believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and a Center for Missions.
We believe in the mandate of our Lord Jesus Christ to evangelize, disciple and equip the church for the work of ministry as stated in:
Luke 24:46-49 and Mark 16:15 - To evangelize
Matthew 28:18-20 - To disciple
Ephesians 4:11-16 - To equip the Church
Our goal:
1. To provide a place of fellowship so that believers in the Lord Jesus Christ can be evangelized, encouraged and discipled in the faith.
2. To provide Sunday services for evangelism and encouragement.
3. To provide church services through the week for the purpose of discipleship.
4. To provide ministries specializing in the various needs of the fellowship.
5. Outreach to the community and valley such as “My Father’s House” a ministry to the homeless, etc.
6. To provide a Ministry to the Youth of our Community and beyond.
7. To provide a Mission’s Center for Missions and Missionaries.
As a ministry we have a great desire to reach the world for Christ, beginning in our Jerusalem and eventually to the utter most parts of the world. And as a result we have a strong Mission’s Vision with a desire to provide a Mission’s Center where we can train men and women for the mission field and a place of refreshment and encouragement for missionaries on furlough or returning long term missionaries to integrate back into American Society.
Mission’s Center
Our desire is to provide a center in which we can train men and women who have a desire and calling for missions.
To provide:
§ Language training. The use of language training computer based programs such as Rosetta Stone to help missionaries effectively communicate with the people that they will be ministering to.
§ Leadership training. To help missionaries in their leadership skills and to equip them to train others.
§ Mission’s theology
§ Practical living training (life on the mission field). Using seasoned missionaries to help outgoing missionaries to understand what life is like on the mission field.
§ Biblical training. Studies in the Doctrines of the Bible, the various Books of the Bible, inductive Bible Study Method, etc.
§ Pitfall awareness. As life on the mission field is different and at times difficult this class will apprise the student of the different pitfalls that they might encounter on the mission field and also how to resolve interpersonal conflicts that occur on the mission field.
§ Temporary housing for Missionaries and their families while they are furlough. A facility where missionaries and their families on furlough can be refreshed and encouraged. Use of hotels with weekly rates such as American Inn Suites, Home Suites Inn, etc. Private homes could be used if the privacy of the Missionaries and their families would be honored.
§ Medical assistance. Where they can be close to doctors and hospitals to meet
their medical needs.
§ A place of ministry for retiring Missionaries. A place for retiring missionaries to minister to those who will be going out to the mission field.
§ Ministry Resource Center. To help missionaries and ministries abroad in supplying them with study and resource materials.
§ Outreach Ministry Training. To provide training for Domestic Missions. We believe we have a mission field in our local community, state and country therefore we desire to train man and women, young or old, to effectually evangelize our community through outreach programs, help ministries, etc.
