Pastor Manuel Osuna
Founder of Calvary Chapel West Valley
Manuel was a great, passionate teacher of the Word, a loving father, a caring husband, a concerned pastor who had a burden for missionaries and a man who loved God and His people. He longed more than anything else to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and bring as many people to the Lord as possible!
He will be missed by all, especially his family!

Comments from a few of the many people Manuel loved and served!
“Praying for your family. Such a great loss and such a great addition to Heaven! Right now he is in God’s presence receiving his crown… it will be a big one!”
“A more encouraging and faithful man would be hard to find. I especially was touched by his teaching ability and wealth of knowledge. Pastor Manuel Osuna, you will be missed, by your dear wife, children and extended family members, by your congregation, and those of us that had the joy to spend hours in study and prayer with you for the needs and blessings of others. You are now with our Lord and your joy is set in glory, you wanted to go out on the battlefield and that you most certainly did. Until we meet again my friend.”
“2 Corinthians 5:1-8. The race is done, the prize is won. See ya later bro. Praying for you all.”
“A great brother, friend, and co-laborer in Christ. I will miss our talks, your hugs at Pastor’s Conferences and you incredible example of love and humility. See you soon my friend.”
“Nothing will be the same without Pastor Manuel, he was the best, he was a great teacher, a good friend, and a rock to his wife, they love each other so much. Pastor, you will be missed but we know you are in Heaven and we know you are well now”
“Pastor, I love you. all my childhood memories came from the boys and girls club and West Valley. You are a part of my life and will always be. Remember when we celebrated you birthday at the boys and girls club and made both you and my dad shirts that said ‘Oh Pancho & Oh Cisco’? Remember when I kicked your cactus at your house” I’ll never forget that. The list goes on. I remember every Christmas play we had over the years. We were so close and I’m sure there is still love there. Did you know that my best years were from the church back in ’96? You have no idea how much I cried when we left… I love you like a father. So, so much, Pastor.”
“My uncle was an amazing person. He was there when I was growing up, there when my wife and I were engaged, and always there for us when we lived in Phoenix. He was a true example of a Godly husband who always searched the scriptures to be in communion with Christ. It’s not goodbye, but until next time. Love you, and miss you.”
“Today was the day of great sadness due to the passing of a longtime family friend, Manuel Osuna. He was a great mentor to me who helped guide me into the ministry. Though his passing brings heartache; it also brings joy knowing he’s in the presence of the Almighty. He’s finally home. This song, (Thank You-Ray Boltz), says it all. “Wish I could’ve seen your smile as the Lord says, “your job is complete thy good and faithful servant…”. This song explains your life’s work. I love you and will miss you, but I know I’ll see you again.”
“Pastor Manuel was indeed a Man of God, and although we will miss him, God has welcomed him, and his suffering is ended. He was my friend, my mentor, and my pastor.”
“Going to miss ya! Just for a little while, and will see you again around the throne.”
“My son is a New Year baby. New Year’s Eve makes me think of a while back when Manuel and Maria showed up, Bible in hand, and spent the night watching and waiting and praying for and with us while I was in labor. Classic Manuel!!”
“He did the same with us with my youngest 28 years ago. No one this side of heaven will ever know that this man has meant to me and my family…and I know I speak for countless others. Maranatha! We will all be together forever in eternity!”
“Manny’s homecoming day…so many saints there to greet him, Tony, his parents, he is with Jesus.”
“Our love and prayers go to the family. Pastor Manuel was such a wonderful person and it was an honor to know him.”
“Eleven years at West Valley, I learned so much from Pastor Manuel from the Word. He taught an inductive, in-depth, Bible Study. He knew the power of prayer and instilled that in me. He taught the meaning of complex words in the Bible in Greek and Hebrew meanings which expanded our understanding of the wonderful Word of God. Rest in Peace…”
