Welcome to Calvary Chapel West Valley!

Calvary Chapel West Valley is one of many Calvary Chapels throughout the U.S. and various countries of the world. The basic ministry style of Calvary Chapel is based on a balance of systematic Bible teaching, with worship involving traditional and contemporary forms of music. We are not formal or rigid, but neither are we careless or unstructured in our ministry. Rather, we believe that our ministry is open and relevant to the spiritual needs of people today. We are currently active in the community with various outreach programs, women’s groups, and the “You Matter Ministry”, a ministry to the homeless.

What is our Church like?

Our dress is casual, our worship is contemporary, and our teaching is Bible-centered. Because the teachings are Bible studies, we encourage you to bring your Bible. We do have Bibles available for you to borrow if you need, or if you don’t have a Bible, please stop by the welcome table and we will give you one.

Pastor Andy teaches book by book through the Bible and provides practical application of God’s Word to our lives today. You won’t hear any weird doctrines, just biblical truths. Our desire is that God would touch your life during this time.

Rest assured that visitors will not be singled out in the middle of service or made to feel uncomfortable in any way.

We also have safe and secure Sunday School classes for kids of all ages.

Our prayer is that you will be blessed and strengthened by the power of Jesus, and that you will live a life of abundance in fellowship, joy and liberty. Community church is here for you. It is not just a church; it is a fellowship of believers coming together to declare the glory of the Lord, and to celebrate Jesus as King. We study the Word, practice what we learn, and in the process grow together. May God richly bless you! May the Lord bless you and keep you! We hope to see you soon!

HOW TO KNOW GOD

From the day you were born, you have been on a quest.

You have been searching for something more, because deep down inside, you have a sense that life must have some kind of meaning and purpose beyond mere existence. Maybe you’ve even wondered if you’re the only person who feels this way. You aren’t. Deep down inside, we are all searching. Whether you are young or old, rich or poor, healthy or sick, male or female—you were designed to know God in a deep and personal way. You were made to have a relationship with God, through His Son, Jesus Christ.

How do you start a relationship with God?

1. Realize that you are a sinner.

No matter how good a life we try to live, we still fall miserably short of being a good person. That is because we are all sinners. We all fall short of God’s desire for us to be holy. The Bible says, “No one is good—not even one” -Romans 3:10 NLT.
This is because we cannot become who we are supposed to be without Jesus Christ.

2. Recognize that Jesus Christ died on the cross for you.

The Bible tells us, “But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” – Romans 5:8 NLT.
This is the Good News, that God loves us so much that He sent His only Son to die in our place when we least deserved it.

3. Repent of your sin.

The Bible tells us, “Repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away” -Acts 3:19 NLT
The word “repent” means to change our direction in life. Instead of running from God, we can run toward Him.

4. Receive Jesus Christ into your life.

Becoming a Christian is not merely believing some creed or going to church on Sunday. It is having Christ Himself take residence in your life and heart. Jesus said, “Behold, I stand at the door [of your life] and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in.”   – Revelation 3:20 NKJV

If you would like to have a relationship with Christ, you simply need to respond to the moving of the Holy Spirit on your heart. He is the one prompting you right now. All that you need to do is surrender…give your sin, your guilt, your shame to Him…Jesus already paid the price in full for it. Then just accept the free gift of forgiveness and salvation…again, you can’t earn it – it’s a gift… it is already paid in full—Jesus did it all FOR YOU. Just go before Him and pray a simple prayer like this…

Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins. Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and life. I confess You as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me. Amen.

If you just prayed that prayer and meant it, Jesus Christ has now taken residence in your heart! Your decision to follow Christ means God has forgiven you and that you will spend eternity in heaven. The Bible tells us, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness” -1 John 1:9 NKJV

We would love to know about your decision to welcome Jesus into your life! Please let us know by sending us a note through our Contact Us page or call us at 623-876-9464. We have some information we would like to send you as well as answer any questions you may have.
